The weather has been sooooo nice out lately that I've been hard pressed to get anything done inside the house.  I just want to be outside all the time!  With temperatures in the 70s and 80s as highs, and cooler mornings and evenings, it's perfect to get my hands (and toes) dirty. Yes, it's been hard work, but I'm seeing the fruits of my efforts now so it's been satisfying.

The garden/firepit patio is starting to take real form.  My trip yesterday included purchasing sand and the large pavers to make it larger as well as ......ummmm.....artistic? (That's important you know!) I would have brought home everything I needed, but there wasn't a guy to be seen to help us girls get the sand down from a high place. I can't believe Home Depot has shifts without buffed up male personnel available in the garden area.  What's a princess to do?? Oh well, that just means that I can't work as hard today!  This is what it looks like right now.
That speck of red in the center of the garden is a red ripe strawberry.  I would be more excited if there was more than three of them.  The seeds are starting to sprout, and the rest of the plants seem to be growing contentedly.  We're looking forward to some fresh veggies this summer!

I took some other pictures around the yard this morning (after I charged the battery!)

The butterflies love the yellow flowers in the front bed.  These flowers actually lived through the winter since it was so mild.  I can't remember what they're called.  Anyone know?
The roses love the east side of the house.  I actually took this picture after I trimmed them a bit.  It might rain this afternoon, so I wanted to bring some in the house for us to enjoy too.  Seeing as it's race weekend, I'm sure it really will rain at some point.  It always does.

The daisies are about to pop open.
Just a planted pot by the driveway.

Oops!  How did that get in there?
And then there is this corner......****sigh****  Still have a little work to do!  That poor angel is probably praying that I'll get down there and rescue it from it's ocean of weeds.  There are some actual flowers in there somewhere.  I can see them because I know they're there.  Soon....very soon........

Gratitude for:
- Butterflies and Blooms
- Clean, cold water!
- Pedicures that include massages......wonderful.
