Coming and Going

I've done it to myself again!  This past week was crazy busy, and now there is just too much to write about!  I need to keep up better, but when I've had something going on every day/night I'm just too tired to sit down and type.  I have started a new blood pressure medication, and while this one is doing a much better job, it is also dragging me down.  Today a friend told me that it takes about three months to adjust.  UGH!  I'm not sure I want to be so tired for two more months.  Guess I will have to see what my body decides.

Last week I went to see the Ranger's play ball.  Great seats...not so great a game.  It was fun though!  I also spent a day with my sewing girlfriends.  Due to our summer schedules, we won't be getting together again for awhile.  I'm hopeful that when fall comes around, we will be able to go on some of our famous shopping adventures where you never know where we will end up!  I lost miserably at Bunco and missed out on a beautiful hanging basket with flowers.  I guess that's okay though.  I'd probably let them burn up anyway.  Then there was the mountain of laundry and ironing to attend to that accompanies any vacation homecoming.  Yuck!!  The homecoming also included one very needy cat!  She is always demanding attention, but after being gone for a week we was REALLY annoying!

Hubby and I did manage to see a movie this weekend.  It was good to actually spend some time with each other since we seemed to only meet up in time to kiss each other goodnight throughout the week!  We went to see "People Like Us."  It seems like it has been forever since we've actually found the time to go to a movie let alone a really good one.  This one was really good.  Be forewarned though - take Kleenex!  I did pretty good until the end, and then although it was a different type of situation, I couldn't help but relate more than a little.  My Reese's Pieces rating is a  whopping:
It's about honesty, reconciliation, and self-discovery.  I recommend it. (Remember:  tissues!!)

After the movie and some errands, we were treated to dinner at our son and daughter-in-law's house.  It was a great way to end the day.

Speaking of movies and such....my aunt sent me an email about a very interesting video available on the Galesburg Register Mail website.  It's about a man who raises pigeons.  I thought some of you might be interested in it.  Just click on the word video above and it will take you to it.  I'm not sure what Reese's Pieces rating to give it!

By the way.....as you have probably noticed, I've been working on my blog.  I haven't figured out yet how to get rid of those white parts!  If anyone has an idea, I'd love to hear it.  I've GOT to get rid of them.

Gratitude for:
- Time spent with family and friends.
- Air conditioning!  I'm so glad I not only have air conditioning, but I don't have to wear a long shirt with lots of petticoats either!  How did they do that??
- Watching my grandchildren grow.
