Home Again, Home Again

We are home at last from our trip to the Midwest.  It was a trip that didn't lack for interesting happenings - so much so, that I think I will postpone most of the trip news until a later post. (or two, or three!)  I am just too tired to write this afternoon, and you would be too tired to read it all at one sitting anyway.  We had to postpone our trip home for a few days due to some health issues that Hubby had to help his parents resolve.  There are some decisions left to be made, and maybe another trip up north, but after so many nights in a hotel, our house looks pretty inviting.

It was so good to be back to the land of Dr. Pepper and good Mexican food.  Not too long after crossing "the border", Hubby and I made a lunch stop. This is our favorite south-of-the-border haunt.  Too bad we stopped at a different store than we normally do - we actually had to order!  Normally our waitress just orders for us when she sees us walk through the door, and Voila! (Hmmm...French??  I don't know what the Mexican version is.)

As we pulled into the garage, our weary eyes spied something that brought the smiles back to our faces.  How can you NOT smile at that? ...and that little handprint just made my heart melt!  Welcome Home indeed!  I think it will stay on the door for awhile.  We can always use a smile....even if it's only coming home from the grocery store.

The best part was yet to come.  We had planned on having to make another food run to another restaurant for dinner. **Blech**  We like eating out, but seriously, after almost 2 weeks of every meal out, this looked soooo much better!  Thanks to our Daughter-in-law, we had REAL food to eat!

And then, we had this welcome.......
Yep.....Isabella (aka Needy, aka Zoey) is well......extra Needy!

Gratitude for:
- Everyone is home safe and sound.
- Real food for dinner.
- Neighbors who watch after our cat....even if she is needy when we arrive back home.  True Love!
