IKEA

I finally made it to visit an IKEA!  I'd been wanting to go for years, because I'd heard so much about it.  As one of our friends said when we told them we were going, "It's not a store.  It's a destination!"  They had some really cool stuff, but I have to say that most of it just doesn't fit into our decor.  That being said, I had a plan.  What I really wanted to shop for was a children's table.  I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, but I was certain that I would find something suitable.  I was right!  They had several to choose from.  In the end, we didn't get what I had pictured in my mind but something that is a) big enough to eat on or do crafts on and b) easy to clean.  We got four stools, although there is room enough for five.  The big kids are almost too big for it already, so we figured that four would be enough.  After I took this picture, I realized that the stools look a little like milking stools!  Good thing we live in the country!

While we were there we came across a great buy on a clothes drying rack.  I'd been wanting one that folded up nicely and that could live on the patio easily.  It's great except that during the "building" process I decided that some assembly required should include the "for two or more people" phrase.  It actually went together rather easily except that it looked like this:
OOPS! Something was decidedly wrong!  Fortunately it was a fairly quick fix.  It works pretty well and fits behind the cupboard in the corner of the patio when it's all folded up.
Of course there were a couple of other impulse buys along the way, but really, they pay people big bucks to market this stuff to totally susceptible consumers.  How could we possibly resist?

Blessings for:
- Finding a great table for the Grandkids!
- A clothes rack for drying outside.
- A new apple corer, and little table light too.
- Cooler weather is on the way tomorrow!
