SURPRISE!!!

I wasn't going to post anything this morning, but God had such a wonderful surprise waiting for me!  I just had to share!  I had to make a quick trip out to the curb because I found a really old banana in the kitchen this morning.  It was either take it to the curb (it's garbage day, of course), or put it out in the garage trash can and smell it all week.  YUCK!  So.....grab the yucky banana, open the garage door, untie the garbage bag, etc, etc, etc.  You all know I'm NOT a morning person, so I'm somewhat annoyed at this task, but I'm up anyway.....  I'm kinda grumbling to myself because I should have done it yesterday......then just as I'm about to get back to the garage.....SURPRISE!

They weren't blooming yesterday that I was aware of.  Aren't they interesting?  I was helping a friend in her flowerbeds a couple of years ago, and she gave me some of the bulbs we thinned out.  I don't know if these are what people call surprise lilies or not.  She didn't know their name. If anyone knows what they are, please tell me.  They're rather unique, and the blooms don't last very long.  I think I'll call them Instant Mood Changer Lilies!

- rotten bananas - how else would I have discovered the lilies?
- garbage trucks who take the yuckies away.
