I have been scolded for not keeping up with my blog as of late. My apologies, but I really haven't been negligent , it's more "What can I say?" My brain has been writing a lot. Unfortunately, that has not equated to actual sitting down and blogging. The problem is that I'm keeping secrets. Christmas is coming! I've been painting, and sewing, and shopping.....well, you know........Christmasy.... secret...stuff.
I guess I should start by saying that the church Fall Festival was a success! It was a beautiful day, and we had several families from the neighborhood join us. It was a great time spent with friends, old and new. (If you're an old friend, it wasn't a comment on your age. Maybe.....) I do have to concede to the best dressed couple....See what you think:
(If you can't read it - He is the Farmer in the Dell (box) - Her Dell box says, "The Farmer takes a Wife. Too creative and cute!)
So.....the only thing I guess I can talk about is the weather. I spent most of two days this week trimming bushes and planting bulbs. (Exciting, isn't it!) After a night of climbing into bed and gasping because the sheets were so cold, we put on the electric blanket. Today I think I will add the flannel sheets. It was supposed to freeze last night. It is race weekend here, after all!! Yesterday I transferred the rest of my summer clothes to the off season rod and brought down my winter stuff. I even braved the great wall of shoes and filtered out some. (Hubby's eyebrows are doing that...."I need to check this out!" thing......Now they are doing that, "Seriously??" thing.)
So there you have it! The weather. It all boils down to the weather.
Gratitude for:
- Making progress on some sewing projects.
- Planning surprises....(I love doing special things for the special people in my life!)
- Getting back into my sweaters.
Love the couple!
