Punkin Heads

Just in case anyone was having thoughts that I was watching the soaps and eating bonbons again, (Hmmmm...there is a bowl of Halloween candy around here somewhere......OK....I'm back....) I thought I'd introduce you to a few new friends.

Our church is having a Fall Festival this weekend, so I've spent most of this week getting things ready.  I thought these folks might like to come along for the fun.  The dress was one my Mother had made years ago for the street dance at their town's Sesquicentennial celebration.  I somehow think she would approve of my using it for this purpose.  The next door neighbor bought over some hay he had for his compost pile (future use, not current! Ewwwww....)
Now if I can just figure out how they can drive themselves there!  The weather should be just about perfect for an afternoon and evening of kids games and hot dogs.   I love fall!

The World Series is making everyone bleary eyed...poor Hubby had to get up at the wee hours and trudge into work after not getting to bed until midnight.  At least it will be decided once and for all tonight.  Even I, the I-try-not-to-complain-about-all-the-sports-on-TV-non-sports-minded spouse, has been staying up watching.  It's just too nail biting not to.

GO RANGERS!!

Gratitude for:
- Pumpkin pancakes....yummmmm
- Finally getting to wear sweaters and enjoy a nice fire in the fireplace in the evenings.
- Being able to sleep in a little
