You all know that I have lots of shoes right? You're probably thinking one of two things. 1. Really, I don't need more shoes or 2. How exciting! New shoes! You would all be wrong. Did you notice I said shoe? No s at the end. Only a left one. It's black and kinda ugly. Not my kind of shoe at all actually. It is, however a very pointed request that this become my favorite fashion statement for a few weeks.
Wednesday wasn't a great day at our house. Hubby had to work late so he missed his golf night. Rats, for both of us. I had things I wanted to do. At least he brought home a yummy supper for us since the kitchen was supposed to be closed. It was also the night that the garbage had to be put together and taken out. That meant the kitchen garbage can was not hanging out in it's designated spot. When Hubby came home, I was so excited to see dinner (I mean, Him) that I totally forgot about the waste can and stubbed my toe. Badly. It really hurt, but then again, it hurts to stub your toe! We watched TV from our bed that night so I could stay off my foot. Yesterday morning I woke up with a very bruised foot. I decided that maybe I should have it looked at. Yep, I broke my toe. It's not one of those baby bones in your actual toe, it's the horizontal one at the base of the toe. So, here I am wearing this most beautiful shoe. At least it covers up the bruise!
Did I mention that I have UTI too? Other than that, life is good!
Gratitude for
- antibiotics and pain medication
- last night's dinner with friends and getting to know them better
- being able to spend the day today reading and doing some hand sewing, even if it is from doctor's orders

What can I say? Not much since I'm laughing so hard. Sorry!!! Love you.
